Product Information, Care and Availability


We make every effort to display product details, colors, and images accurately. However, due to variations in wood grain, texture and color, the actual product may differ slightly from images on the website. These characteristics are part of what makes each board distinct and should not be considered defects.

Our products require regular maintenance to ensure longevity. We recommend using our board butter for routine conditioning. Neglecting proper care and maintenance may result in cracking, warping, or damage, for which we cannot be held responsible.

Product availability is subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time.

Ordering and Payments


Order Placement:
  • Orders can be placed directly on our website. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel orders if we detect fraudulent activity or other issues.
Payments:
  • We accept major credit cards and payments through Stripe. All payments must be received in full before the shipment of any product.

Custom Orders: Personalized Craftsmanship


At Wood Instaurator, we take pride in creating unique, handcrafted pieces that reflect your individual style and preferences. Our custom orders allow you to select your preferred wood species, design patterns, and dimensions to craft a truly one-of-a-kind cutting board. Whether you’re looking for a distinctive gift or a showpiece for your own kitchen, we’re here to help bring your vision to life.


How It Works:


Design Consultation:
  • We’ll start by discussing your design ideas, wood preferences (e.g., Black Walnut, Cherry, Hard Maple), and any special requirements you have in mind. We want to make sure every detail aligns with your expectations.
Quote and Approval:
  • Once we finalize your design, you’ll receive a detailed quote, including material costs, labor, and shipping. A 50% deposit is required to begin production. Custom orders cannot be modified or canceled once work has started, so please confirm all details before proceeding.
Production Timeline:
  • Custom orders typically take 2-4 weeks to complete, depending on complexity and current order volume. We’ll keep you updated throughout the process and provide photos of key milestones, such as glue-ups and finishing stages.
Final Payment and Delivery:
  • When your custom board is complete, we’ll send you final photos and an invoice for the remaining balance. Upon receipt of payment, we’ll securely package and ship your item, along with a small tin of our signature board butter for maintenance.


Limitations and Important Notes:


Design Complexity: We specialize in geometric patterns and traditional hardwood combinations. Please note that complex carvings or CNC work is not currently available.

Size Constraints: Maximum board dimensions are limited to 20”x12”x3”.

No Returns on Custom Orders: Due to the personalized nature of custom orders, we do not accept returns unless the item is damaged or defective upon delivery.

Order Limitations and Cancellations


We reserve the right to limit or refuse any order, particularly those that appear to be placed by resellers or distributors.


If we make a change to or cancel an order, we will notify you via the email or phone number provided at the time of purchase.

Shipping and Delivery


Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on order size, weight, and destination. We ship across the United States, with varying costs depending on your location (e.g., Hawaii or Alaska may have higher shipping fees compared to the continental U.S.).


We are not responsible for delays due to unforeseen circumstances such as carrier issues or natural events.

Returns and Refunds


We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. You have 30 days from the date of receipt to return any unused, non-custom item in its original condition and original packaging. Please note that all refunds are subject to a 5% restocking fee to cover processing costs.

Accuracy of Billing and Account Information


You agree to provide accurate and current account information for all purchases. We reserve the right to cancel orders if fraudulent activity is suspected.

User Comments and Feedback


By submitting comments, reviews, or other feedback, you grant us the right to use, edit, and publish them for promotional purposes without compensation.

We reserve the right to remove any comments that are deemed inappropriate or violate these terms.

Limitation of Liability


Wood Instaurator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products, including but not limited to damage caused by improper use, failure to follow maintenance instructions, or accidents involving our cutting boards or other products.

Dispute Resolution


Any disputes related to these terms or our products shall be resolved through informal negotiation first. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes will be handled through mediation or arbitration in the state of Texas.

Governing Law


These terms and any disputes arising out of or related to these terms will be governed by the laws of the state of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions


We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. If significant changes are made, we will post a notification on our website. By continuing to use our website, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
